There will be 7 elected positions:
1. President
2. Vice-President
3. Secretary
4. Freshman Class Representative
5. Sophomore Class Representative
6. Junior Class Representative
7. Senior Class Representative

Questions:
- Should the schedule proposed by Ms. Yalden be put into effect?
-Should the President and the Vice President run on separate ballots, or should they run together?
- What is the role of STUCO?
-Who should be able to run for President?
-Who can be picked/run for Vice-President?
-Should we wait to get a concrete copy of the current STUCO Constitution before continuing discussions?
-Would it be better to have a sort of Electoral College, where each advisory gets a single vote, picking one candidate for the whole advisory, so as to avoid a popularity contest?
-Should you have to give a speech if you are the only candidate running?
-Should we even have to give speeches?
-How long should the speeches be?

Discussed:
-Schedule for elections:
- One must submit a proposal for one of the seven positions to Ms. Yalden or Ms Briggs(sp?), no later than Friday, September 25th, 2009. Once a proposal has been submitted campaigning may begin.
- One may campaign between Monday, September 21st, 2009 and Wednesday, September 30th, so long as a proposal has been submitted.
- On Wednesday, September 30th, 2009, speeches will be given by candidates, in the Pit, during Lunch.
- There will be a ballot presented in advisories on Thursday, October 1st, 2009.
-Winners will be announced on Friday, October 2nd, 2009.
-General Discussion of rules for campaigning: Ms. Yalden will be creating guidelines for campaigning, to be given out when a candidate hands in their proposal.
-Issue of who should be able to run for President?
-Seniors only, Juniors and Seniors, Sophomores and Up, or All classes?

Decided:
-Will continue without a concrete Constitution, at present. Vote: Unanimous.
- Yes, the schedule proposed by Ms. Yalden, will be put into effect, immediately. Vote:Unanimous.
-President and Vice-President will run together on a single ballot. Vote: Unanimous.
-Only Juniors and Seniors should be able to run for President. Vote:
-Seniors only: 9 votes
-Seniors and Juniors only: 13 votes
-Sophomores and Up: 0 votes
-All Classes: 2 Votes
-Only Juniors and Seniors can be picked for Vice-President, by the campaigning presidential candidate. Vote: Majority*
-All Classes can run for the position of Secretary. Vote Majority*
-All Candidate must give a speech. Vote: Majority*
-Length of speeches will be determined by the number of candidate running, but between 2 and 5 minutes long. Vote: Executive decision by Ms. Yalden.

-To Be discussed:
-Role of STUCO
-Electoral college vote (one vote per advisory)

*Note: we did not count, but assumed majority, for lack of time.
